Quarter of a Century

So last weekend was my 25th birthday. 25 years old. I literally can't believe I've been around for a quarter of a century, makes me feel so old! So of course I had to go out and drown my sorrows with a few french martini's! On the Friday, I went out for dinner with all my family to Grill On The Corner. I  wanted a smart but casual outfit so I picked this black jumpsuit from the petite section of ASOS. I dressed it up with metallic gold heels from Kurt Geiger and a black & gold body chain also from ASOS.

Saturday 20th February was my actual birthday so I got to open my present...

The photos don't really do it justice, but it's the beautiful metallic leather pouch from Mulberry in oxblood. I have to mention how beautifully wrapped the clutch was as well, I am an absolute sucker for gift wrapping, all the the tissue paper, ribbon, box & gift bag - gorgeous. Anyways, the clutch is a perfect size, it fitted all my essentials for a night out and it has handy wee card slots inside so I didn't need to take out my purse. I teamed it with burgundy stiletto heels from Topshop which are a perfect match. I actually can't believe how well they go with each other.

I had already purchased a birthday dress by Club L from ASOS. I had never really heard of this brand until recently but I absolutely love all their dresses! I ordered quite a few and they all had such a lovely fit and feel to the material. I was really impressed because normally I need to order petite dresses but these all fitted great. Even better were the prices; ranging from £15 up to £45 for the perfect party dress. I wasn't allowing myself to keep all the dresses that I had ordered so I decided on this little red number:

The dress was only £30 which was a complete bargain in my eyes, especially as I had my eyes on a House of CB dress but just could't justify the £100 for something I would probably wear once. I accessorised with my new Mulberry clutch and Topshop heels. I thought the oxblood colour was a really lovely contrast against the poppy red instead of typical black accessories.

On the Sunday, I just had a chilled out day with lots of birthday cake & good food to cure the hangover! I wore this gorgeous dip dye jumper from Topshop, black Jamie skinny jeans also from Topshop, cut-out boots from Office & my Givenchy Antigona.

Hope you all had a lovely weekend!

Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day!

Normally my boyfriend doesn't do valentine's, he thinks it's just a made up occasion to get people to spend money that they wouldn't normally spend. However, this year I was unexpectedly spoiled. The day started with a lovely bouquet of red roses, card & heart shaped marshmallows - yum!

My boyfriend knows me too well with my "turtley amazing" card. The other card is the one I gave to him - very fitting!

Next he took me shopping for an outfit to wear for the evening - a girls dream! So I picked a lovely white, sleeveless blouse from Zara;  black Jamie skinny jeans from Topshop and a black & gold clutch bag also from Zara. I paired the outfit with gold platform heels from Kurt Geiger which are very similar to those Gucci platforms from last year!

After my day of shopping, I was surprised with dinner at the Anchor Line in Glasgow city centre. Dinner was AH-mazing! I honestly couldn't recommend it enough. The steak was cooked to perfection. It is very pricey but definitely worth it, so I'd save it for a special occasion!

Marilyn Monroe cocktail - so tasty!

Did you get up to anything nice on Valentines?
I'd love to see all your Valentines outfits!

2016 & Givenchy

Hi everyone!
I officially started my blog quite a few months ago & I've totally neglected to post. However, 2016 is my year! I fully plan on focusing on my blog much, much more! I just love reading other blogs and looking at all their beaut photos and figured it makes sense to share mine.

So for my first post of 2016 I want to share my biggest fashion purchase EVER! My beautiful Givenchy Antigona bag.

I have been lusting after this bag for a good few years now. If you follow me on Instagram, you will have seen I posted about it as my “lottery wish list” a while back. I never dreamed that I would own this bag due to hefty price tag and I wasn’t sure I could ever justify that amount of money on a single item. So anyways, off topic for a moment, I work part-time in a bar so I collect all my tips in a Terramundi pot (which I think I’ll do a separate blog post on). I also put in any cash I have left over from nights out etc. So from my last Terramundi pot, I managed to save just over £800!! Which was amazing as it was money I would have spent on silly things - coffee here, magazine there and so it didn’t even feel like I was consciously saving up. I had been having a bit of a tough time just before Christmas and decided I was going to treat myself and my very kind boyfriend offered to pay the rest as my Christmas prezzie!

I mulled over which bag for weeks - I couldn’t decide between the small & medium, and I had my heart set on nude but it was unavailable (past season). Eventually on New Years Eve, I took plunge & ordered the small black smooth leather with silver hardware online from Harrods. Even better was the fact it was their Rewards Weekend which meant I got an additional 10% off!
