Weekly Update

The last few weeks have been quite busy as I'm on placement. Working 12 hour shifts & then working weekends in my own job means I don't actually have much spare time and to be honest I'm living in jeans and a tee or my uniform. Definitely not very exciting clothes-wise! I didn't want to neglect my blog so figured I'd sum up what has happened in my week.

1. Gym Bunny
I've recently been going to the gym quite regularly. Well when I say gym, I've been doing classes at my gym - Yoga, Pilates/Fitness Pilates, PIYO & Body Attack. I've also been running most nights - my dad signed up for a 10K and although it's a men's 10K I said I would train with him to get my fitness up. I feel great for it and I'm really getting into the habit. So I promised myself that if I stuck with it I would treat myself to some new gym clothes - a little incentive. However, what I did not realise is how expensive gym clothes actually are! Missguided and New Look have their own fitness range which I'm dying to try out, the clothes look amazing online. ASOS also sell some Nike/Adidas etc and you can get student discount which is great. I live quite close to a Nike outlet and Sports Direct so figured I would try there first before ordering online.

The biggest bargain was from Sports Direct - "Techfit Heather Print" Adidas sports bra & leggings.
Sports bra available here
Leggings available here

You might have seen these on my Instagram. They are still available on the Adidas website now priced at £23 for the sports bra and £25 for the leggings so almost £50 for the set. I got the bra for £19 and the leggings for £20 so I saved quite a bit! I'll definitely be checking out Sports Direct in the
future.

From Nike I bought two new pairs of leggings in "Tight Fit" meaning they are fitted the whole way down the leg. They were quite expensive at £34 each but still cheaper than the normal Nike store at £39 (Find them here). I also got a running jumper which was reduced from £50 down to £20 in a grey marl type print.
This wasn't available on the Nike website but there are similar.
2. Beauty Bargain
I don't know about you lot but I cannot live without my primer! My skin is so super oily so without it my make-up slides off within an hour. I swear by Benefit's POREfessional.  From the Benefit website: "POREfessional quickly minimizes the appearance of pesky imperfections for smoother-than-smooth skin that looks practically "poreless!" Apply this silky, lightweight balm alone, under or over makeup. The translucent formula contains a vitamin E derivative known to protect skin from free radicals." So normally POREfessional is priced at £24.50 for 22ml but Benefit now have a limited edition 44ml bottle for £31.50 thats double the amount for an extra £6!!! Even better with UNIDAYS you get 10% student discount so I got two bottles for £53.40 and free delivery. It really does what is says on the tin, the enlarged pores around my nose and fine lines on my forehead virtually disappear and holds my make-up in place for much longer and it comes in really cute packing - so what are you waiting for?

3. Friday's Outfit

High Neck Top from New Look (Find it here)
Oversized Blazer from H&M (Similar here)
Ripped Jamie Jeans from Topshop (Similar here)
Adidas Superstars (Find them here)
Fringe Crossbody Bag from H&M (Similar here)
Gucci Glasses from Vision Express

4. Sk:n Clinic
So lastly this week I had my first consultation at Sk:n Clinic. I've been thinking about this for a long time. I had acne when I was younger and I am guilty of being a picker so I've been left with some red marks/slight scarring on my face. I also feel the pores around my nose are quite enlarged and I have some fine lines appearing on my forehead. So I was thinking towards getting a chemical peel to freshen and revitalise my skin. I am going to do a separate blog post on this with lots of photos as I progress through my treatment plan but in summary I had a fantastic first consultation. I was seen by the lead nurse and she cleansed and examined my skin and recommended a series of glycolic peels. So I booked myself in for a course of 6 commencing next Monday. Below is my product package which aims to reduce oil production and prevent future breakouts. It also prepares my skin for peel itself.
L-R: Anti-Blemish Pore Refining Lotion, Cleanse & Exfoliate Vitamin-Rich Gel Cleanser for Oily Skin, Anti-Blemish Hydrator for oily/blemish-prone skin, Restore & Protect Sunscreen SPF 30 and Anti-Blemish Control Serum.
I have been using these products for a couple of days now and I feel like I can already seen a reduction in oil and my skin feels great! I will keep you guys posted. Feel free to ask any questions in comments section.
